About Us:
We are a busy and growing real estate law office based in Lynnfield, MA, with a team of professionals. We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Post-Closing Paralegal to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and completion of all post-closing financial and legal processes.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling post-closing procedures in residential real estate transactions, with a strong focus on financial accuracy and compliance. This role requires someone who is meticulous, highly organized, and confident managing sensitive financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the financial post-closing process for residential real estate transactions.
- Send, receive, and verify wire transfers with absolute accuracy.
- Reconcile and confirm all incoming and outgoing funds.
- Prepare and issue checks as needed for files.
- Balance files and ensure all financials are accurate and complete.
- Review and work with HUD-1 Settlement Statements and Closing Disclosures (CDs).
- Communicate with lenders, clients, and internal staff regarding post-closing matters.
- Maintain organized and audit-ready files.
- Prepare, review, and finalize post-closing files.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of real estate paralegal experience.
- Working knowledge of Qualia is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of real estate transactions and closing processes.
- Extensive experience handling wire transfers and financial reconciliation.
- Familiarity with HUDs and Closing Disclosures (CDs).
- Exceptional attention to detail — especially with financial data.
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and accountability.
